Runners follow a point-to-point course for the Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon, which starts along the Eastern Promenade of Munjoy Hill overlooking the Casco Bay and finishes just past the Maine State Pier. In between, the course takes runners back and forth across a pair of bridges and around virtually the entire circumference of Back Cove along the Back Cove Trail, one of the city’s oldest and most popular running, walking and biking trails.
