Runners start the Halloween Half at the Gateway Ball Park baseball fields, which lie just off East 1st Street along the West Fork of the Trinity River, just a short drive from nearby Fort Worth. From there, the course follows a point-to-point course along both sides of the river, running a set of paved running, walking and biking trails to Trinity Park — and despite the jagged lines in the elevation profile below, organizers say it’s very flat and fast.
