Runners follow a north-to-south, point-to-point route along Alaska’s Lutak Inlet at the Totem Trot Half, which starts next to the Chilkoot River Lodge along Lutak Road. From there, runners head south along the banks of the Chilkoot River and then along the inlet, staying on Lutak Road for the first 9 1/2 miles of the race. Once they make it into Haines, they’ll follow a few twists and turns through the town before crossing the finish line on Main Street, next to the Sheldon Museum & Cultural Center.
