Runners follow a double-loop out-and-back course for the half marathon, which starts and finishes on Iron Horse Boulevard. From there, the race takes runners across a pair of bridges over the Farmington River and along a combination of rolling rural roads and paved biking and jogging paths. The mostly fast and flat course features views of the countryside around Simsbury for most of the race, and finishes back where it started on Iron Horse Blvd.
