Runners follow a point-to-point route through Utah’s Dry Fork Canyon at the Uintah Half Marathon, which starts in the canyon on Red Cloud Loop Road/Dry Fork Settlement Road, just south of the Ashley National Forest. From there, the course heads southeast down through the canyon, following Dry Fork Settlment Road for the first two miles as it becomes North Dry Fork Road, and then onto Red Cloud Loop Road. The scenery is spectacular through these stretches, with red rock formations rising up along the roadway and the Colorado Plateau off in the distance.
