The Wild Vine Trail Half Marathon course follows an out-and-back route that starts and finishes on the grounds of the U.S. National Whitewater Center, just outside Charlotte, N.C. From there, the course winds through the forests surrounding the center’s main buildings, with many stretches of the trail unfolding along the Catawba River.
