From the starting line at the Jillson Square, the Willimantic Classic Thread City 13.1 Half Marathon course follows a kind of figure-eight-shaped route through town, starting off by heading down Main Street and across the Willimantic River on the way to Columbia and Lebanon. Next, runners make their way along a mile-long stretch of the historic Airline rail trail and then head back into Willimantic, where they’ll run over the famous Frog Bridge toward Jillson Square in front of cheering spectators.
