Runners start the clockwise, out-and-back loop route for the Wings & Wheels Half Marathon at the Scappoose Industrial Airpark, just off Moore Road. From there, the race follows a fast, flat route along the rural highways just outside Scappoose, here along the Oregon-Washington border — between miles 2 and 11, there are really no hills to speak of at all, the course is pancake-flat. There’s a few rolling hills as you head back in to the airport for the race finish.
