The out-and-back loop course for the race starts and finishes at Ottawa Lake in the north-central part of the park, and takes runners on a circuitous loop through the fields, hills and trails within Kettle Moraine State Forest, which lies just south of Dousman, about 50 miles from the Wisconsin state capital. Because the race course loops out and returns from a central point near County Road ZZ within the park, runners will have a chance to visit the Scuppernong aid station at this point three times during the half marathon.
