The Venice Florida Half Marathon & 5k Fun Run is a beautiful running course that takes place in February, offering runners a flat, fast, and scenic course to enjoy.
Scenic Views. Known for being one of the most scenic courses in the entire state, the Venice Florida Half Marathon & 5k Fun Run winds runners through Southwestern Florida, runners can expect diverse landscapes, unique florida ecosystems and wildlife, and of course, views of the Gulf of Mexico.
As for the location post-race, Venice is a charming and abundant city of Florida, with rich history and a laid-back art-centric atmosphere, with tons to do and see after the race, not limited to its natural beauty.
Starting in Maxine Barritt Park at a crisp 6:30 a.m, the Venice Half Marathon takes runners along Legacy Trail from Venice to Sarasota.
Upon registration, runners will have the choice between a raceday tank of tech t-shirt. In addition, all finishers will be awarded a commemorative finisher’s medal, free raceday video and photos, and of course, a fully-stocked course.
For those who are competitive, the top five (5) in every age group will be recognized and awarded. There is a time limit of 3.5 hours for the half marathon race, with aid stations to assist every two miles or less.
