Palm Trees on Beach during Sunset of Ewa Beach, home of the Akahai Half Marathon

Are you ready to take on the Akahai Half Marathon, part of the Aloha Racing event in Ewa Beach, Hawaii? This race is the epitome of endurance and scenic beauty, promising participants an unforgettable experience that showcases the best of the island. “Akahai” means kindness and compassion, and since the proceeds of this race go to charity, the name makes so much sense. All proceeds from the event go toward the Hawaii Parkison Association, which supports research to find the cure for and cause of this disease.

The course covers 13.1 miles of paved and unpaved terrain, showcasing some of the most beautiful spots the island has to offer. Starting from Keone’ula Boulevard, runners will pass by the spectacular Hoakalei Country Club and take in the green landscape of the Ernie Els golf course. From there, the course takes runners on a winding course through the Hoakalei development, toward Coral Sea Road. Runners will then be treated to an unmatched view of the Leeward Coast, creating memories to last a lifetime.

But the Akahai Half Marathon is not just about the stunning course. The race’s features include cooling towels, reusable water bottles, personalized race bibs, and a commemorative medal personalized for this legendary event. Participants can also expect some delicious post-race meals, including breakfast burritos and chocolate milk, perfect for replenishing post-race energy. You’ll enjoy gear check services, disposable timing chips, porta-potties a-plenty, and a top-notch medical crew.

The Akahai Half Marathon is also part of the Endless Challenge series, meaning that it comes with a promise of motivation, inspiration, and a real sense of achievement whether you have raced earlier in the year or are running for the first time.

Race Weather & Climate
