City on Sea Coast on Hawaii in Kapa'a home of Aloha Marathon Series

Looking for a perfect escape to Hawaii in 2024? The Aloha Half Marathon in Kapa’a, on the island of Kaua’i, is one of the most scenic and breathtaking races you’ll ever experience!

This four-day running event, from Thursday, January 18 to Sunday, January 21 is a must-run for those looking to check a Hawaii half marathon off their fifty state list.

Though the event has races ranging from 5K to 50K, the Aloha Half Marathon is a crowd favorite.

The Aloha Half Marathon starts at 7:30 AM and winds through the picturesque shores of the Kaua’i Island. The course will take you on a flat, paved path, where you will witness breathtaking coastal views, passing by the ocean and through tropical gardens.

You’ll complete 12 laps with ocean along the way. Kapa’a is one of the most beautiful places in Hawaii – a tropical paradise with towering trees, cascading waterfalls, and a laid-back island vibe.

One unique feature of this half marathon, and other races in this event, is the giant aid station that runners will encounter every 2.2 miles. This aid station is fully equipped with every drink, snack, and nutrition that runners could ever need.

Apart from the actual race, the island of Kaua’i has endless activities and attractions to keep you entertained. You can join the Fern Grotto nature tour and witness the stunning natural beauty of the waterfalls or explore Aloha Images, Kauai’s favorite art gallery, owned by fellow runner Ray Charron.
