Prepare for an extraordinary running experience at the Hawaii Kai Ultra Run Half Marathon – Kalama Valley, set to unfold on December 14th and 15th, 2024, just one week after the Honolulu Marathon.
The event hosts a range of distances to suit every runner’s preference – from the half marathon to the 100 mile distance.
The unique feature of this race is the flexibility in choosing your start time. Whether you opt for an early morning start at 3:00 AM on Saturday or prefer a more leisurely pace on Sunday morning, the choice is yours.
The check-in point at Kalama Valley Park near Sandy Beach provides a central hub, featuring a start, finish, aid station tent with essential supplies like ice, drinks, and food.
The course, nestled near Sandy Beach in Hawaii Kai, is designed for camaraderie and support. Runners will embark on loops, starting with an out-and-back toward the back of Kalama Valley and another toward the ocean, ensuring ample interaction among participants. Each full loop covers 3.34 miles, with the course remaining open until the final runner completes their journey on Sunday night.
All registered finishers receive certificates and custom awards, while participants and volunteers have the chance to win random gifts from sponsors.
