Join us in celebrating the 45th Annual Dubuque Benefit Classic Half Marathon and 5K! This year, we introduce an exciting new course that showcases some of Dubuque’s most scenic areas, including the Bee Branch and the Mississippi River. A significant enhancement is the course’s complete flatness, promising swift times for participants.

Ideal for those gearing up for Midwest fall marathons, this race also features the “Merge 1 Miler,” a complimentary event for kids aged 12 and under.

For added excitement, we introduce the Relay Challenge Event this year. Assemble a 2, 3, or 4-person relay team and join us for a fantastic time! Each relay member will receive a hat and a finisher medal at the race’s conclusion. The relay race consists of four segments evenly distributed across the 13.1-mile half marathon distance, with relay handoff points strategically placed at A.Y. McDonald Park and the Bee Branch Creek Greenway.

In terms of awards, the overall male and female winners of the half marathon will receive a substantial $400 cash prize, with the first master’s finisher (40+) in both genders earning $250. Second and third place in each category will also be rewarded with cash prizes. Additionally, we’re raffling off 10 pairs of shoes, with all registered runners eligible for this exciting bib drawing.

The race will be chip-timed, and awards will be based on gun time. Lace up your shoes, join us for a fantastic race, and support a meaningful cause. Let’s make the 45th Annual Dubuque Benefit Classic memorable and impactful!
