Bend Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

Get your race season started with the Bend Marathon & Half Marathon, taking runners through downtown Bend on a loop course and showing off the beauty of the area.

The marathon and half marathon courses share the first three miles of the course, which begins at the Les Schwab Amphitheater in downtown Bend. From there, the course continues north and west through downtown Bend and then south toward the Deschutes River, all on traffic-blocked paths.

The second half of the course is run alternately between road sections and multi-use trail sections, taking runners through residential areas of Bend, through long stretches of Haul Trail, Skyline Ranch Road, and the West Bend Trail before leading runners along the river and back toward downtown Bend and the finish line.

Race organizers note that the half marathon’s time limit is 5 hours, controlled primarily by the traffic sweep for the full marathon.

Race Weather & Climate

Located in central Oregon about 130 miles east of Eugene, Bend experiences cold mornings and cool overall weather in April. The city experiences under an inch of precipitation on average for the month. Snow is not unheard of in April, so prepare accordingly.

On race day (Apr. 14), the average low is 31ºF and the average high is 59ºF.
