Sisters “Better Half” Marathon

Saturday, May 11, 2019 • Sisters, ORCourse Map

Race by yourself or with your better half (your sister, perhaps?) in the Sisters “Better Half” Marathon, taking place every May in the small Oregon town of Sisters and consisting of a half marathon, quarter marathon, and 2-person half marathon relay.

All three events begin in Village Green City Park in downtown Sisters and start by heading east along East Jefferson Avenue and onto the path at Creekside Park. The course loops through the park before continuing west onto East Tyee Drive, then south and back onto Three Creek Road.

Continuing through residential neighborhoods in Sisters and out west of the downtown area, runners take in mountain views and tree-lined roads as they loop back to Village Green City Park, which serves as the quarter marathon finish line and the relay exchange point.

Half marathoners run two loops of the 6.5 mile course, while quarter marathoners and relay participants complete one loop.

The course closes as 12:30 PM, giving runners and fast walkers 3 hours, 30 minutes to complete the course. And you’re racing for a good cause — the race benefits the Sisters High School swim team, keeping all the proceeds within the Sisters community.
