Sunday, April 7, 2024 • Everett, WA • Course Map
Set for its 14th annual running, the Everett Half Marathon & 10K follows an out-and-back route that starts and finishes at the Port Gardner Landing, near the Puget Sound Naval Station Complex, and takes runners all the way north to nearby Marysville and back.
Along the way, runners will cross over bridges that span tributaries of the Snohomish River, including two long straightaway stretches along Washington’s Yellow Ribbon Highway, which connects Everett with Marysville and runs right in front of the navy base.
With the exception of some rolling hills near the start and approaching the finish line at the end of the race, runners can expect a largely flat course throughout most of the half marathon route’s 13.1 miles.
The terrain also consists of paved surfaces throughout the course, as runners stick to roads and highways; there is one loop incline that brings runners off Marine View Drive and onto Pacific Highway, which runners also will run in reverse in second half of the race, on the way back to the finish.
All runners and walkers must be past mile 10 by 10:30 AM, organizers note, and the course will close at 12:00 PM – 4 hours after the start.
