Overview
The Gopher to Badger Race has been taking place since 1997. In 2024, it will be held on August 10, offering half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances. The race begins in Stillwater, Minnesota, and crosses the I-94 bridge over the St. Croix River to reach Hudson, Wisconsin.
This year is “The Battle for the Hatchet,” meaning runners must declare their allegiance to either Minnesota or Wisconsin at registration. The combined top five times from runners of each state across all distances will determine the winning state. The results will be announced at the finish line while runners enjoy post-race food and festivities.
