Hosted by CaliFlow Runs, The Mighty Tiki Run: Popsicles & Paradise takes Long Beach’s oceanfront path by storm every summer, with the 2025 race set for Sunday, August 3. This festive multi-distance event (5K, 10K, and half marathon) celebrates National Watermelon Day with a whimsical tropic theme, complete with inflatable tikis, photo stations, and popsicles at the finish.
The half marathon starts at 7:00 AM PDT, tracing a flat, USATF-certified route along the paved beach path. Spectacular views of the Pacific set the scene as runners glide past Ocean Boulevard and 54th Street. Three well-spaced water stations offer vital hydration, while the real standouts come at the finish line: ice‑cold watermelon, popsicles, and oranges await alongside a lively festival vibe.
Whether chasing a personal best or soaking up the SoCal sun, runners enjoy chip timing, live results, custom medal, downloadable certificate, and free race photos. The laid-back yet festive atmosphere—complete with a tropical-themed medal—is perfect for beginner and veteran runners alike.
More than a race, it’s branded as “your race, your pace”—where finishers earn their medal and memories in equal measure. Post-race treats and a finish-line festival ensure the experience goes beyond the run .
