Venture into the heart of winter with NJ Trail Series as they proudly present the eleventh edition of their Winter Series, unfolding amidst the serene landscapes of Lewis Morris Park and Central Ave Park in Morris County. These five races are tailor-made for the brisk, chilly months, offering an exhilarating experience for seasoned trail enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
Important Update from Morris County Park Commission:
The Park Commission has given its nod for hosting the Winter Trail Series at Lewis Morris Park, subject to certain conditions. In the event of snow or ice storms, the availability of park roads cannot be guaranteed. The Commission will make efforts to provide advance notice in case of an impending storm, but on the day of the event, road access may vary based on storm timing and severity. Additionally, if a significant storm is forecasted, there’s a possibility of event cancellation at the discretion of the Park Commission. The parking lot above Sunrise Lake may also remain closed, with only Park Commission staff having the authority to open it.
Should the need arise, fear not! The race will seamlessly shift to the XC course location in Central Ave Park, Morris Plains/Parsippany. The XC course, featuring a 5K loop, will serve as the battleground for the 5K (1 loop), 10K (2 loops), and 13.1M (4 loops) races.
