Raising money for the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Associate, the Parkinson’s Half Marathon and 5K are fast and flat trail races that unfold along the Glacial Drumlin State Trail, a gravel trail will take runners out and back with elevation changes maxing out at less than 40 feet.
The Glacial Drumlin State Trail is a 52-mile long rail trail that stretches from Waukesha to Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. A geological feature commonly found in Wisconsin, drumlins are elongated hills in the shape of inverted spoons caused by glacial movements. However, this course contains minimal hills and gently rolls between an elevation of 860 feet and 890 feet.
