Set against the rolling foothills of Central Montana, the 9th Annual Ranch Run returns on Saturday, June 21, 2025, as part of Geraldine’s Fun Day celebration. This scenic gravel‑road event includes a half marathon, 5K run/walk, and a 1‑mile fun run, launching from 310 Main Street, and creatively showcasing the Geyser Cutoff Road toward Geyser MT.
Course & Experience
Rural charm meets gravel adventure on a course that embraces big-sky vistas and prairie serenity. The half marathon navigates gentle hills between the Highwood and Round Butte mountains, while the 5K offers a gradual descent into town with towering butte views. Expect wildlife sightings—deer, elk, antelope, and more—along the remote, gravel-country lane.
Strollers with sturdy tires are encouraged, and transportation from packet pickup at Fresh Start Co‑Op kicks off with buses to the start line at 7:30 AM. The half begins at 8:15 AM, the 5K at 9:00 AM, and the fun run at 10:45 AM, all finishing on historic Main Street.
Post-Race & Vibe
Close out the race with a local flare: craft beer courtesy of Joyce Fuel & Feeds, ice cream, specialty coffee, and additional vendor treats—an ideal pathway to Geraldine Fun Day and a relaxed small-town party. Awards are given for top finishers in youth, junior, and adult divisions for both the half marathon and 5K.
What elevates Ranch Run is its community spirit and untouched natural backdrop. This event isn’t about PRs—it’s about connecting with the land, discovering local flavor, and sharing the day with family and neighbors. Whether you’re chasing gravel miles or family memories, this race delivers Montana authenticity in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
