Course & Runner Experience
The Half Marathon kicks off at 8:00 AM MDT, preceded by a mandatory shuttle from Provo (start at Great Western Trailhead). Runners glide along fast, net-downhill roads into front‑lit fall foliage. Aid stations (5 total) provide water, Powerade, GU gels, porta‑potties, and vaseline. The trademark Spook Alley near the finishline features themed installations like jack‑o lantern inflatables and tombstones for a festive closing experience.
The 5K starts at 8:30 AM, and the Kids’ Half‑Mile Run launches at 11:00 AM. Costumes are encouraged across all distances—individual and group costume contests add theatrical flair before the gun.
