Saturday, June 21, 2025, marks the inaugural Silver Creek Trail Run at Night Owl Landing, a private 122-acre woodland retreat in Kingston, WA. This boutique trail event offers three distances—Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K—all set amid Douglas firs, Big Leaf Maples, and Western Red Cedars, and designed by trail advocates Heidi and Kelly Campo.
🌿 Course & Runner Experience
The race begins at 10:00 AM PDT with a mass start after check-in opens around 9:00. Following packed forest paths with light gravel, the 5K completes one loop, the 10K two, and the Half four loops plus a short extra for precise 13.1 miles. A hydration station awaits after each loop, and the intimate cap of 100 ensures trail preservation and community camaraderie.
🎗 What Makes It Unique
As a first-year event, this run is rooted in trail stewardship and ecological appreciation—held in a forest preserve with minimal development, rustic logistics, and strong environmental ethos. Every runner receives custom wool socks, snacks, and mocktails finish-line treats. Gender-inclusive awards honor the top three in male, female, and non-binary categories for each distance.
