Embark on an exhilarating journey through the rugged terrain of Harriman State Park at the second annual SUFFER’N BEAR ULTRA, a Redpoint ultra trail event taking place on September 28. This challenging trail run spans over 200 miles of Harriman State Park, showcasing some of the most demanding terrain in the Northeast. Our continued collaboration with the park aligns with our vision for a single loop, offering runners an immersive experience in this natural haven.

Despite the trail and road system’s significant damage from the July 2023 floods, the relentless efforts of park personnel have allowed us to secure approvals for the 2023 course. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these dedicated individuals who have worked tirelessly to restore Harriman State Park to its former glory.

Benefiting the NYNJ Trail Conference, this event wouldn’t be possible without their unwavering commitment to trail maintenance and development. Support their vital work by considering a donation to ensure the preservation of these unique trails for years to come.

Starting along the shores of Lake Welch, the course navigates some of the best single tracks and flowy trails within a day’s drive of NYC, Boston, and Philly. Runners will ascend to breathtaking vistas, tracing the shores of the “Seven Lakes” in an unforgettable journey. Choose your challenge with a 50-mile, 50K, or Half Marathon course, each comprising scenic laps of the ~16+ mile loop. Experience the rugged beauty of Harriman State Park, conquer challenging elevations, and contribute to the preservation of these pristine trails. Join us for an unforgettable day of trail running, camaraderie, and support for the NYNJ Trail Conference’s invaluable work.
