Organized by 4th Dimension Racing, a locally based running and race management company, as part of its Evergreen Trail Runs series — which also includes half marathon races in Lake Sammamish and Grand Ridge nearby — the Taylor Mountain races make their 6th annual running in the early summer, with a full marathon, half marathon, 5-mile race and a 50K for those up for the challenge.

Runners will follow an out-and-back course for each of the four races, which start and finish at the Taylor Mountain trailhead, which lies just off Interstate 90 near Hobart, south of West Tiger Mountain.

From there, runners head out into the hills of Taylor Mountain Forest, whose 10 miles of trails are a frequent destination for runners, walkers, hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders from around the Seattle and northwest Washington area.

The longer distance race is the first to start, with an 8:00 AM starting time for the full, 26.2-mile marathon. Those running in the half marathon will start at 9:00 AM, and the course closing time is set for 5:00 PM.
