Overview

The Wolfman Triathlon, a pioneering off-road triathlon in Wisconsin, introduces trail runs for its 2025 edition, enhancing the race festival with a 3.75-mile run that mirrors the triathlon’s run segment and an off-road half marathon extending approximately 13.9 miles. These new additions are set to begin at the Bike/Run transitions, concluding under the Triathlon finish arch, with start times at 9:00 am and 11:00 am, perfectly timed to usher in the event’s food and music festivities.

Course Description

Held at the Gardner Dam Adventure Base in Langlade, WI, the Wolfman Triathlon encompasses a thrilling 3-mile whitewater paddle on the class II section of the Wolf River, a challenging 13-mile mountain bike ride through the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest’s Nicolet Roche technical single-track trails, and a rugged 3.5-mile trail run along the scenic river, culminating in a festive after-party.
In addition to individual competitors, the event encourages tandem and relay team participation, offering a collaborative racing experience. Tandem teams tackle the course in a shared boat, with bike and run segments timed individually for a combined score, while relay teams distribute the triathlon’s segments among three racers for a collective time. This race not only challenges athletes with its demanding course but also fosters community through team efforts and post-race celebrations, marking it as a distinctive and unmissable event in the off-road triathlon scene.
