Nestled in historic Gold Country near Nevada City, CA, the Yuba Gold Trail Runs return on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Organized by Skybreaker Racing, this permit-based trail event offers a point-to-point 50K, 35K, Half Marathon, and a “do-it-yourself” independent 50K option.

Support & Amenities

The course is clearly marked, but GPS usage is recommended due to occasional signage issues. Aid stations are stocked with water, electrolytes, snacks, and fruit. Entries include finisher shirts, full-cover medals, and access to quality trail support.

What Makes it Stand Out

  • Historic trail experience: Traverse through iconic Gold Country landscapes and rich mining heritage.
  • Point-to-point variety: Multiple distance options on a classic scenic course.
  • DIY alternative: Independent P2P 50K offers flexibility while still delivering medal and results.
  • Reasonable pacing window: 9-hour cutoff accommodates both competitive and recreational runners.
Course Description

The point-to-point 50K follows the iconic route from South Yuba Campground to Bear Valley, passing the South Fork Yuba River, dam artifacts, and the storied Malakoff Diggins hydraulic mining site. Runners can expect river views, historic terrain, and oak-fringed canyon trails throughout. The half and 35K events follow shorter segments of this route, yet preserve the same historic and scenic backdrop.
