Saturday, March 10, 2024 • Riviera Beach, FL • Course Map
This popular race often sells out, and it’s not hard to see why. As an oceanfront neighborhood in Riviera Beach, Singer Island offers seven miles of white, sandy beaches, and this half marathon takes runners through nearly all of them.
Starting at the Ocean Walk beach pavilion, runners proceed north along the coast. The course takes participants through John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, looping back around the turn around point shortly after mile 4.
Be prepared for some slight elevation as you cross the Blue Heron Bridge on your way back. The views are worth the effort, though—you’ll spot both Peanut Island and the Port of Palm Beach as you cross over.
At mile 8, runners will turn right to rack up some miles around the Marina before crossing back into the Palm Beach Shores neighborhood and heading back to the finish line.
Runners can expect plenty of course support along the way—aid stations with water, gatorade, and gels will appear approximately every mile on the half marathon course—and the generous 4-hour time limit makes the Run Singer Island Half Marathon walker-friendly.
At the finish line, participants can enjoy bananas, oranges, muffins, and bagels as they celebrate their accomplishments on the beach. Race organizers note that a number of local restaurants are also located near the finish line, for those who’d like a more substantial post-race meal.
