Fairview Half Marathon & 5K

Start your running season off right with the Fairview Half Marathon, featuring a gorgeous course looping through Fairview and its custom homes, countryside, and downtown areas.

The half marathon begins at Fairview Town Hall before heading north on Greenville Drive and heading into the countryside of Fairview. The rest of the course weaves through residential and country areas of Fairview, taking runners through beautiful custom homes, perfectly manicured lawns, and farms and pastures along the way to the finish line back at Fairview Town Hall. Rolling hills throughout the course provide a challenge without being too difficult for the first-time half marathoner. With a course limit of four hours, walkers are welcome on the half marathon course, provided they can maintain an 18-minute mile.

Unlike many running events, the Fairview Half Marathon also hosts free childcare courtesy of the Goddard School for children 11 and under while you run the race. No need to pay extra for the service, just add childcare to your cart when registering.

Race Weather & Climate

Located just over 30 miles north of Dallas, Texas, Fairview usually experiences cool to mild weather in March, with an average of 3.37 inches of precipitation for the month. Record temperatures range as low as 7°F (1943) and as high as 97° (1929).

On race day (Mar. 23), the average low is 44ºF and the average high is 67ºF.
