Saturday, February 9, 2019 • San Antonio, TX • Course Map
All the races in the Missions Heritage Half — half marathon, relay, 10K, 5K & kids fun run — take runners through the historic Missions that are still standing and active. The course follows and out-and-back course, beginning at Mission Concepcion and running south toward Mission San Francisco Espada before running north toward the finish line.
The race finishes at Mission Concepcion Park, near the start line, where a post-race party celebrates the runners’ accomplishments. Since the course is fast and flat, this course is a great event for achieving a personal record.
With 100% of the race proceeds going to Las Misiones Permanent Fund, the fund that maintains Las Misiones for future generations, runners can feel great about participating in an event for a good cause.
There is a four-hour time limit for completing the half marathon, meaning runners will need to maintain an 18-minute mile or faster throughout the race. Walkers and strollers are welcome on the course, as long as they can finish the race within four hours.
