California > Fairfield-Suisun Running Festival Half Marathon, 10K, 5K
Fairfield, CA • Saturday, April 12, 2014 • Course Map
Best known as the home of the Jelly Belly candy company -- "the original gourmet jelly bean," its tagline says -- this Northern California of just over 100,000 residents plays host to the annual Fairfield-Suisun Running Festival every spring and added the half marathon distance for the first time ever at its 5th annual running in 2013.
The race, presented by Western Health Advantage and North Bay Healthcare and famous for its Run For Good 5K, follows an out-and-back course that starts and finishes in downtown Fairfield, at 675 Texas Street. From there, the route unfolds through Fairfield's city streets all the way to nearby Suisun City, where the course also unfolds along the waterfront, near both Suisun Bay and the Suisun Marsh areas, which connect to San Pablo Bay and San Francisco Bay to the west.
Runners who haven't yet signed up will be able to register on the morning of the race, between 6:00 and 7:20 AM. In addition to the half marathon, there's also a 10K race, 5K race (known as the Run For Good 5K) and a half-mile race for kids.
