Utah > Provo River Trail Half Marathon
Provo, UT • Saturday, August 11, 2012 • Course Map
From the Wasatch Mountains and canyons overlooking this city perched along Utah Lake just a short drive south from Salt Lake City, the Provo River Trail Half Marathon takes runners on an all-downhill point-to-point route that unfolds through the South Fork Canyon and usually fills up early each year.
Runners start the race at Big Springs Park along South Fork Road up in the canyon, and follow South Fork Road and Provo Canyon Road west toward the city, all the way to the finish line at the Shops at Riverwoods shopping center, along University Avenue. Along the way, runners will get to take in spectacular views of Mount Timpanogos and the famous Bridal Veil Falls.
No parking will be available at the starting line area, so runners will need to board the shuttle bus on the morning of the race at the Shops at Riverwoods, which will take them to the start. The scheduled starting time for the race is 6:30 AM, which means that the last shuttle bus will leave at 5:30 AM.
