Salt Lake City Haunted Half

Saturday, October 19, 2019 • Salt Lake City, UT • Course Map

Start your Halloween partying in style with the Salt Lake City Haunted Half Marathon & 5K, a point-to-point race where costumes are not only allowed, but encouraged. This race is the first in a series of three Haunted Half races (with the other two races taking place in Provo and Austin throughout the rest of the month).

The half marathon is almost entirely downhill, starting at Emigration Canyon (over 6200 feet above sea level) outside of Salt Lake City. From there, runners coast down the canyon for the first half of the race, almost entirely down Emigration Canyon Road. Prepare for some spectacular views as you coast down the canyon, but be sure to take them in quickly because you’ll zoom down the canyon.

The second half of the half marathon leads runners toward Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City. Here the race becomes more urban compared to the first half of the course, with a few more turns as you approach the finish line. With bounce houses, donuts on a string, and a kids’ run at noon, there’s something for the whole family to do after the race.
