Sunday, November 22, 2020 • Norfolk, VA • Course Map
The second most populous city in Virginia plays host to the Norfolk Harbor Half Marathon & 10K (formerly known as the Harbor Lights Half Marathon before 2016). This mid-November event takes runners on a tour of Norfolk’s historic neighborhoods and Old Dominion University before finishing along the harbor that gives the event its name.
Beginning on Waterside Drive in downtown Norfolk, the half marathon course weaves north along downtown Norfolk before running along Mowbray Arch and heading toward the Botetourt Gardens. Runners continue along Park Place and reach the halfway point of the course while running through the historic Old Dominion University.
The second half of the course continues south toward the finish line at the harbor, taking runners back south near the start while following a completely different route. Much of the course is fast and flat like much of the oceanfront, and the course is a great one for setting a personal record.
Runners looking for an extra challenge can register for the Get Nauti Challenge and complete a 5K on Saturday in addition to (or preparation for) the half marathon on Sunday.
