Jackson Hole Marathon, Half Marathon & Relay

Saturday, June 8, 2024 • Jackson Hole, WY • Course Map

With the Grand Tetons as the backdrop, the Jackson Hole Half Marathon is a beautiful way to spend 13.1 miles. The Jackson Valley is home to stunning views of mountains that tower over 13,000 feet above sea level, while the surrounding countryside remains relatively un-commercialized among one of the nation’s most scenic regions.

The point-to-point course of the half marathon climbs very slowly over the course of the 13.1 miles. There are no noticeably large hills, but with a beginning elevation at over 6,000’, runners from near sea level might find themselves feeling out of breath.

Runners can take the shuttle from the finish line to the starting line at the intersection of South Park Loop Road and White House Road on the western outskirts of the town of Jackson.

The first mile takes runners along Tribal Trail Road until it intersects with the paved bike path that runs parallel to Highway 22. The course heads west and crosses over the Snake River around the mile 4 marker.

Once racers near the town of Wilson, they make a 1 mile loop until they cross back to Highway 390, or the more affectionate, Moose Wilson Road. A paved bike path that runs parallel to this road is the remaining section of the course. For approximately six miles, runners head north towards the Teton Village, where they’ll cross the finish line.

Though the course may prove challenging for runners who live and train closer to sea level, this relatively flat race with very few turns can equal a fast race for those who come prepared.
