Event
Details
Located on the gorgeous windswept Northern California coast just 14
miles south of Half Moon Bay, the town of Pescadero hosts the Artichoke
Half Marathon & 10K each April (this year on Tax Day), when
weather conditions are normally mild and the sun cooperates. The race
follows a beautifully scenic out-and-back course from Duarte's Tavern
in Pescadero, along flat, paved roads. The course also includes three
miles of trails, for runners who love more of a challenging, rugged
off-road run.
The race starts on Sunday morning of the weekend at 9:00 AM, and race
organizers present finishers' medals -- and real, large artichokes --
to all runners
who cross the finish line, including the 10K participants.
