A fast, flat point-to-point 13.1-mile course from Coronado to Imperial
Beach (which lies about 20 miles south of San Diego), the Silver Strand
Half Marathon takes place mainly along the highway in San Diego County
from which it gets its name. The race starts at Sunset Park on Ocean
Boulevard in nearby Coronado, then heads south onto Orange Avenue and
continues on Silver Strand Blvd. The course continues southward to
Imperial Beach, where runners are taken past the Naval Radio Receiving
Facility, after which the race then finishes at the Imperial
