Details
Run throughout the city streets of Knoxville, the Covenant Health
Marathon, Half Marathon, 4-Person Relay and 5K shows off this city set
into the footfills of the Appalachian Mountains, located just a couple
hours' drive from North Carolina's Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The race begins at 7:30 AM and takes runners along the city's scenic
waterfront and past a range of sights including the University of
Tennessee's famed Neyland Stadium, World's Fair Park, Caswell Park,
Market Square and the "Old City." This year marks just the fifth
anniversary of the race, which is also USATF-certified.

Weather & Climate
Set in the hills of easternmost Tennessee, the Knoxville area tends to
see mild to somewhat warm temperatures in the early weeks of spring, as
April temperatures average between 48°F and 71°F. April
brings an average of just over 3 1/2 inches of precipitation, making it
the city's fourth-driest month of the year.
Fees
$40 for the half marathon, if registered by September 30, 2009
$45 between October 1 - November 30
$55 between December 1 - February 15, 2010
$65 between Feb. 16 - March 24
