The coastal breeze beckons, and it’s time for the Beach Day 5k, 10k, 15k, and Half Marathon fun run/walk! Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or simply seeking a refreshing day outdoors, this event promises a memorable experience by the shore.
The day kicks off with check-in starting at 7:00 AM and lasting until 7:30 AM, ensuring everyone has ample time to prepare for their chosen race. At 7:30 AM, the Beach Day race begins, marking the start of a delightful journey along the beach path in Belmont Shores, Long Beach.
For those ambitious half marathon runners, there’s a challenge. With a 10:45 AM cut-off time, the pressure is on to complete the 13.1 miles in time. But don’t fret; if you’d like an early start to guarantee a timely finish, you can email the race organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org to make the necessary arrangements.
The race headquarters can be found at 5400 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803, specifically near 54th Place and Ocean Blvd. Please make sure to use Google Maps or the Waze app for navigation, as the Apple Maps app may not provide the most accurate directions. On the day of the event, it’s recommended to carpool, arrive early to secure parking, and use the restroom facilities. Bringing your toilet paper is a smart move, as beach restrooms might not always be fully stocked during the early hours.
As you make your way along the course, rest assured that your efforts will be rewarded. Every participant’s results, including names and times, will be posted, allowing you to track your achievement. Plus, free photos of the event will be available on the organizers’ Facebook page after the race, ensuring that the memories you create will last a lifetime.
The course offers a variety of options to suit different fitness levels:
- The 5k follows an out-and-back route.
- The 10k consists of two 5k loops.
- The 15k features three 5k loops.
- The half marathon, a 13.1-mile adventure, includes three 4.36-mile loops.
