Saturday, September 16, 2023 • Camp Lejeune, NC • Course Map
Part of a series of running events known as the Semper Fi Grand Prix — scheduled throughout the year, both here on the Marine Corps base in Camp Lejeune and around the southeast — the Marine Corps Half Marathon takes runners on an out-and-back course that starts and finishes at the Russell Marine and Family Center and then winds through the paved roads around the base.
Described by the race organizers at Camp Lejeune as a scenic, fast and flat course, the race awards points to runners who have signed up for the Grand Prix series.
The series starts in January with the New Year’s Resolution Run 5K on Onslow Beach at Camp Lejeune and finishes with the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., at the end of October and one final race, the Hampstead Turkey Trot in November just before Thanksgiving.
The starting time for the Marine Corps Half is 7:00 AM, and organizers note that the course is certified for the half marathon.
