Looking for a scenic and challenging half marathon that’s sure to take your breath away? Look no further than the Bear Lake Trifecta Half Marathon, nestled in the beautiful town of St. Charles, Idaho. Known for its epic views of the mountains and valleys, this race is one you don’t want to miss.

Marathon,Half-Marathon

The course for the half marathon is rolling hills, with a total elevation gain of 666 feet. The course itself is an out-and-back (the marathon is also an out-and-back course) that goes out 6.55 miles to start, heading east on North Beach Road and then turning right onto East Shore Road. You’ll then turn around and head back to the start. You’ll be able to take in the stunning views while pushing yourself to reach your personal best. Though it’s an amazing race to run by itself, the Bear Lake Trifecta Half Marathon is more than just a great one-off half marathon. It’s also part of the Bear Lake Trifecta, which includes three races in three different states over three days. If you’re on track to join the 50 State Club, you can check off three states at once by running one weekend (or you can do it just for the fun of it!). The other two races take place in Wyoming and Utah, so you’ll get the chance to explore even more of the stunning scenery of the American West. When you’re not running, you can take some time to explore the town of St. Charles itself. The Water’s Edge Resort offers comfortable accommodations and plenty of activities to keep you busy, from paddleboarding to volleyball to simply relaxing on the beach. With snow-capped mountains in the background, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more picturesque setting for a running event.
