active-reg-buttonWe all have something to celebrate. That’s the motto of San Diego’s Celebration Run Half Marathon & 10K. Whether it’s a new job, good health, or a supportive network of family and friends, everyone has something to celebrate. This race is designed to celebrate all the good things happening in life, complete with multiple celebration stations alongside water stations.

The half marathon begins and finishes in Bonita Cove, across from Mission Beach’s roller coaster. From there, runners head north briefly along Mission Boulevard before turning right onto West Mission Bay Drive. After crossing the bridge, runners turn onto Ingraham Street and continue running north across a second bridge.

After reaching Vacation Island and making a lap around Vacation Isle Park, the 10K runners turn around and head back to the finish line. The half marathoners continue north of Vacation Island along Riviera Drive for about another mile before turning around and heading back south along the duration of Ingraham Street.

The second half of the course continues east along Old Sea World Drive along the San Diego River before turning around on Friars Road and heading back west along the same path, turning around at Hospitality Point and heading back along West Mission Bay Drive toward the finish line.

The half marathon course is almost entirely flat, making it a great course for setting a personal record — and celebrating at the finish line, of course!
