runsignup blueNote: The 2020 race has been cancelled.

The second race in the Firecracker Quadzilla/Quadzuki on the 4th of July weekend, runners will enjoy a mix of paved and dirt trails as they make their way around northwestern Oregon. Last year’s race saw over 100 runners cross the finish line in all three races combined, with 62 racers completing the half marathon course.

Runners will start and finish at the picnic shelter at the south end of the park near the river. Participants in both the marathon and half marathon will repeatedly make their way around a 4.37 mile loop.

For those choosing the full marathon option, they will run the loop 6 times, with the half marathon runners finishing 3 loops of the course. After each lap around the 4.37 mile loop, runners will be asked to check in with a volunteer to ensure that their lap has been counted.

The course is almost entirely flat with short amounts of elevation gain throughout the loop. Runners should note that this is not a Boston Qualifying course and is designed to be run for fun. However, the race will be chip timed.

Out on the course, runners can expect to find aid stations stocked with water and Gatorade, as well as some possible snacks. While most runners will begin the marathon and half marathon at 7:00 AM, there is an early start at 6:00 AM for the marathon runners who may need more than 5 hours to complete the course.

The course will close at 2:00 PM. There is no early start for the half marathon. Runners are encouraged to sign up early as the race is capped at 100 runners.
