Des Moines Women’s Half Marathon

Through trails, park paths, and downtown paved roads, all 13.1 miles of this race brings with it something different. Starting at Jasper Winery, runners will run down Fleur Drive, past the Bell Avenue Business Center, and along Thomas Beck Road.
From there, it’s up SW 7th Street, through Coleman Trail, and along Racoon River. It’ll be at this point that runners can opt out of the half marathon race and get off the course. For those who decide to persist, it’s a turnaround at Water Works Park, a loop around George Flagg Pkwy, and ultimately a straight shot back toward the finish line.
Once the race is complete and your goal of completion has been achieved, it’s time to celebrate with a commemorative finisher’s medal, a glass of complimentary wine, and live music, all in the company of a community of likeminded people!
