Runners of all levels will find something to like about the 4th annual Greensburg Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, taking place in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and benefitting the Downtown Greensburg PA Project.
The half marathon, which begins and ends at All Saints Brewery north of downtown Greensburg, is an out-and-back course that takes runners through downtown Greensburg and south toward nearby Youngwood. After running past the start line, runners head through Lynch Field and continue south past the field along the Five Star Trail toward downtown Greensburg and south out of town.
Most of the half marathon takes place along the Five Star Trail, which stretches from Lynch Park to Youngwood, and half marathoners get to experience most of the trail in the race. After reaching nearby Youngwood, runners leave the trail and make a loop around Trolley Line Avenue, Depot Street, and Jacks Run Avenue before heading back on the Five Star Trail and returning to Greensburg and crossing the finish line back at All Saints Brewery.
Be sure to stay for the after-party at the finish line, where live music, food trucks, and two free beers from the brewery await. Members of the general public can purchase a ticket for the after-party alone and enjoy the fun without running the race.
