The Half Wit Half Marathon Trail Run, taking place in Richfield, PA, is a race that celebrates the “purely stupid”. Starting at Reading Liederkranz German Singing & Sports Club, the course is advertised to have “loads of rocks, roots, branches, poor footing, uncaring on-course support”. There are aid stations along the well-marked course. The course is a 6.55-meter loop, giving runners the option to run it once or twice. Registration comes with a shirt and goodies at the finish. Those under 14 are not allowed to run without approval.
