Overview

Now in its 45th year, the Hyannis Half Marathon rolls out amid one of New England’s most picturesque early-season race weekends—alongside the full marathon, 10K, and team relay hosted by The Fun Road Race Company. Runners start at 10:00 am from the Cape Cod Irish Village and sun-drenched resort, linking coastal charm with coastal performance.

The certified USATF half‑marathon route is a single loop following paved roads hugging Craigville Beach, Kalus Beach, Hyannis Harbor, Lewis Bay, and the Kennedy family compound in Hyannisport, finishing back at the resort. It’s mostly flat with a few gentle rollers—perfect for tuning up spring fitness or chasing a personal best .

Expect eight well‑staffed aid stations spaced throughout the course offering water and lemon‑lime Gatorade, generous portable toilets (20+), and full emergency support by local fire departments—ensuring a smooth runner experience. The crowd is enthusiastic, and with expo, team relay, and Boston‑qualifier status within a six‑hour limit, the vibe is equal parts festive and focused.

What sets this half apart is the combination of iconic Cape Cod scenery—from ocean vistas to historic harbors—with efficient winter-to-spring organization. This event remains a favorite among runners seeking fun, challenge, and the post-race celebratory atmosphere at the resort ballroom expo—and an early-season fitness milestone.
