The races kick off at 6:00 AM (ET), with optional Early Starts at 5:00 AM (ET) for distances of a half marathon or longer. We encourage participants with a projected duration of 6+ hours to take advantage of the Early Starts. A Pre-Race Briefing will precede each start time by approximately 10 minutes.

Ease into the event with convenient Packet Pickup on Tuesday, June 4, from 4-6 PM at Lums Pond State Park in Bear, DE. Race Day Packet Pickup and Registration are available from 4:30 AM to 5:50 AM.

There is no time limit for our races, as we uphold a “no runner left behind” policy, warmly supporting participants until the final finisher crosses the line. Walkers are always welcome to join the experience.

For the safety and comfort of all participants, pets are not allowed, while strollers are permitted for those with small children.

Explore our Independence Series Facebook Group for information on group dinners, hotels, and airports. Hotel searches cover DE, MD, PA, NJ, and NY. Active military and club members can enjoy a $10 discount on marathon/half marathon registration by using the designated code available on the club’s site or upon contacting us. Local participants are eligible for special discounts; inquire for details.

Experience the convenience of our unique multi-loop course setup, offering an expansive “aid station” with a plethora of food and drink options, including fruit, jelly beans, sandwiches, water, Gatorade, hot coffee, and more.
