On Saturday, September 27, 2025, join the rugged and scenic Moab Half Marathon & 10K, part of the John Wayne Cancer Foundation’s Grit Series, supporting the fight against cancer through purposeful trail running and fundraising.
🎬 Run the Legacy
Set against Moab’s iconic red-rock formations and desert terrain—where John Wayne filmed classics like The Comancheros—this race blends cinematic landscapes with charitable impact. Limited to around 100–500 finishers per distance, it delivers a boutique experience on single-track trail, horse paths, and fire roads.
🏃 Course & Atmosphere
Both distances start at 7:30 AM MDT (Half Marathon) and 8:00 AM MDT (10K). The route winds through sandy washes, desert canyons, sagebrush flats, and sweeping mesas. Aid stations offer water, electrolyte and nutrition support. Expect scenic grasp at every turn, with early-morning light enhancing Moab’s striking vistas.
💪 Grit for Good
Every step propels cancer research—participants may register via standard fee or fundraising commitment, with fundraising tiers unlocking special gear and recognition. Teams can register as “Friends & Family Teams,” with options to set up team tents, earn referral rewards, and build community energy around a worthy cause.
Participants and supporters praise the race for its intimate layout, friendly volunteers, and strong mission alignment.
